Found this add in our small town newspaper July 22, 2009. These people have already gotten tons of calls just congratulating them for being so honest and straight forward. I laughed so hard, I’m still shocked.
HOUSEKEEPER/MAID NEEDED: Must be able to speak and read English. We cannot give you instructions if we don’t understand each other and if you cannot read the labels on cleaning supplies. Good pay. Nice people. Clean house. No children. 2 pets (dog and cat). RULES ARE: Be on time. No stealing, not even our cleaning supplies, or our food, toothpaste or shampoo. We’re not going to loan you any money. We’re not going to pay you in advance. We’re not going to pay you in cash so hope you have a bank account. We’re going to ask for your identification and we’re going to take the license numbers off the cars you arrive in. We’ll turn you into the police if we catch you doing anything illegal. We’re not going to train you so you must already have cleaning experience. We don’t want to hear about your personal problems. We’re not interested in your family. You cannot clean our house with a cell phone stuck in your ear all day. If you’re sick, you cannot come to work. This is not a daycare center. You cannot bring your children or your dog. We have our own religious beliefs so we don’t want to hear about yours. Now, if you still want to work here give us a call 830--*.
